Description 
Negative: nitrate negative replaced by copy negative 1977 of Kealakekua Heiau (a) and contact print (b). Catalog card description: "Heiau. Kealakekua, Hawaii. A drawing." Caption: "Entitled: 'View of the Royal Murai in the Bay Ti-utatua (Kailua), on the Island of Owhyhee Hawaii), near which the Queen Kahumanua is walking with her daughter.' From the Voyage of Discovery by the Russian navigator Ketzebue, who visited Kamehameha and his queens in 1815. It was such temples as this that were destroyed in 1819 by order of Kaahumanu after she became queen regent."
