Provenance Given to Joseph Davis Bicknell as a wedding present in 1910 "by some woman who had worked on the plantation he was raised on" according to Mr. Bicknell's daughter, Ellen Bicknell Wilson (Mrs. Frank E.). Mr Bicknell (brother of James Bicknell) was raised at Kohala plantation in Kawai (or Kohala?), Hawaii, and was a grandson of the Rev. and Mrs. Elias Bond.
