Description Hawaiian Quilt in the bird of paradise design, with center design of leaves and flowers; border with leaves and flowers in each corner with smaller leaf and flower design between corners. Jade green cotton fabric on plain white background, with appliqued flowers in yellow, pink, and blue. Echo quilting in white cotton thread. Binding tattered, 6 small holes in quilt top. Back of bright pink fabric, binding jade green.

Provenance Made by Alice Mahelona (Mrs. Samuel) for Margot Armitage in the 1920s. Mrs. Mahelona worked with Margot's aunt in a dressmaking venture. Margot married Francis S. Morgan, a Judd descendant.
